Four people were murdered last night in the center of Tel Aviv and another 16 were injured by terrorists. The two terrorist went to a popular shopping and restaurant complex and started shooting at random, in two different areas.
Those who died are Ido Ben Ari, a husband and a father to two, Milla Mayshiv, who recently got engaged and always had a smile on her face, Dr. Michael Feige, a husband and a father to three, and the head of the Faculty for Israel Studies in Ben Gurion University and Ilana Nave, a 39 years old woman, a wife and a mother of four girls.
Four people died but so many lives have been devastated; too many children will grow up without one of their parents. Parents need to do the unnatural act of burying their children, so many hearts got broken and will have to proceed with their life without their loved one.
Our hearts are with the families of the murdered and our prayers are with the injured, we hope they get well soon and will be able to overcome this horrible experience.
In addition to this hurtful attack another thing gave me a twinge in my heart
In the recent CNN article the word terrorists was put in quotations. This feels to me a bit like the leading news outlet is justifying this violent act; if they are not terrorists what would you call people who try to murder as many innocent people as possible?
I’m left wing myself, I feel Benjamin Netanyahu, our Prime Minister doesn’t do anything to renew Peace talks and I don’t think President Abbas is eager to renew them, as well. I think that the Palestinians should fight for their rights but this is not the way – killing civilians is not the way.
I wonder if someone will have the guts to call the people who hijacked the planes on September 11 “terrorists”, after all the intentions are the same – harming civilians in order to promote their own political agenda.
Please show respect to the murders, to their families, to the people who got injured. Please condemn actions of this kind and yes we can call them terror attacks. Not condemning it gives support and encourages such acts.
